Product description: Pre-made ready-to-lay flooring squares (300 x 300mm or larger) consisting of multiples of end grain hardwood or softwood tiles (each 100x100mm).
Advantages of end grain tiles over conventional T & G flooring
- Highly durable
- Attractive appearance
- Much faster to season than long grain timber
- Ideally suited to the small dimension timber that is relatively abundant in Wales
Advantages of multiple squares over individual end grain tiles:
- The squares will be easier to lay than individual tiles and so require less technical skill from the flooring contractor: potentially a DIY product
- The squares can be factory produced to standard specification under quality controlled conditions
- The production method may be more cost effective
- They will possess the same advantages as the individual tiles, namely durability and attractive appearance
