Transforming an undervalued resource into value-added products
Packaging is a traditional use of wood and an ideal use for small sections and offcuts which might otherwise go to waste.
Our approach at Coed Cymru has been to focus on packaging with a second life. These products have been developed at our workshop at Tregynon and can be supplied by commercial manufacturers.
If you have a specific packaging need we will help you develop the prototype and make connections with the manufacturers who also have equipment for branding and printing to customise your product.
An important feature is that these products are simple to manufacture and can utilise low cost machinery. Thus they are ideal not just for established manufacturers but also employees of sheltered workshops who might not be highly skilled in woodworking.
